چکیده

Water, a limited resource in most parts of the world, has always been threat to arid and semi-arid zones. Using sub-irrigation method with clay capsule technique is one practical strategies for conserving water reducing consumption areas. A porous pipes system that can release near root zone. This paper attempted improve physical hydraulic properties capsules based on changing percentage organic matter raw material (G0). The used making obtained from calcareous soil Nasr Abad village Gorgan, Iran. ratio rice bran husk flour G0 as improving was 1:2, 1:5, 1: 10, 1:15, 1:20 (kg kg air-dried soil). produced were named G2, G5, G10, G15, G20 respectively. discharge distribution measured at 25, 50, 80, 100 kPa hydrostatic pressures discharge-pressure automation instrument. findings revealed positive significant relationship between increasing levels capsules. Unlike G2 discharges pressure linear G20. Meanwhile, wetting shape followed spherical trend due slow seepage However, soil-wetting shapes trended vertical ellipsoids G5 G2. high importance irrigating plants, especially regions, efficiently manage shortage problem.

Optimizing Soil Moisture Uniformity and Irrigation Management

This research is a study on the relationship of irrigation water treatments and soil moisture distribution uniformity (DU). Soil moisture distribution was based on long-term data sets that were collected during wet and dry soil conditions (from permanent wilting point to field capacity) using a novel electromagnetic sensor-based platform moving inside subsurface horizontal access-tubes. The irr...

effect of subsurface irrigation with porous clay capsules on quantitative and quality of grape plant

introduction: maintaining soil moisture content at about field capacity and reducing water loss in near root zone plays a key role for developing soil and water management programs. clay pot or porous pipe is a traditional sub-irrigation method and is ideal for many farms in the world’s dry land with small and medium sized farms and gardens and is still used limitedly in dry lands of india, ira...

Measured and simulated soil wetting patterns under porous clay pipe sub-surface irrigation

Sub-surface irrigation with porous clay pipe can be an efficient, water saving method of irrigation for many less developed arid and semi-arid regions. Maximizing the efficiency of clay pipe irrigation requires guidelines and criteria for system design and operation. In this study, experimental and simulated (with HYDRUS (2D/3D)) soil wetting patterns were investigated for sub-surface pipe syst...

Soil Moisture and Temperature sensor based intelligent irrigation water pump controlling system using PIC 16F72 Microcontroller

This paper aims in providing a user friendly, reliable and automated water pumping system. The paper aims in designing a system which is capable of detecting moisture level in the soil and capable of taking the decision of switching ON/OFF water pump. The system also uses temperature sensor to detect the temperature and automatically the fan speed can be controlled like coolants. In this paper ...

Surface Residue and Soil Moisture Affect Fertilizer Loss in Simulated Runoff on a Heavy Clay Soil

The potential for non-point-source pollution of surface waters from agricultural lands continues to be a concern. Our objective was to determine the effect of surface residue management and fertilizer application timing in regards to soil moisture conditions on nutrient losses in runoff. Studies were conducted using a rainfall simulator that applied 125 mm h-1 for 3 h to an Austin (Udorthentic ...
